Our multi-bay filters can be made to suit your requirements. We love brushes which take out all the solid waste from your pond, these should be cleaned a minimum of once a week depending on stocking levels, each section of our multi-bays can be isolated if required so, Meaning you do not have to empty the whole filter for clean. Our waste outlets go from underneath the filter which means there is no build up of water and waste like most multi-bays. After the brush section we like to use Japanese Matting this helps take smaller fish waste particles out of your pond water to a extent and also its a good breeding ground for beneficial bacteria which keeps your pond and your fish healthy. Then this is where the magic happens a moving bed. We like to finish our multi bays with this, a moving bed adds loads of oxygen to the filter and back in to your pond via an air pump, which makes beneficial bacteria thrive. The chosen buoyant media will move around with plenty of surface area in which the bacteria production is constantly working and thriving. The clattering of the media together knocks off the spent bacteria, making way for fresh bacteria, doing its job of breaking down ammonia, nitrites and nitrates.
